Athletes Without Borders is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of initiatives that cultivate youth empowerment.

All of our programs are developed with the purpose to create experiences that both engage and empower. We aim to engage our youth by introducing them to sports and activities that aren't readily accessible to them in their everyday lives.  We also work to infuse our programs with the core principles of mentorship, education, civic responsibility and health & wellness to provide our youth participants with the tools to empower and push themselves to new limits.

To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them.

hbcu college tour

Our HBCU College Tour is one of the best ways for college-bound high school students and community college students to witness the Historically Black College experience first hand. We immerse students in the HBCU experience by highlighting the academic and athletic demands of HBCU’s and we showcase the various career paths available upon graduation for students by visiting multiple campuses all in a single trip.

AWB - Tropic Bowl

Athletes Without Borders (AWB) is an official partner of the Tropic Bowl™.  The Tropic Bowl, in conjunction with the American Football Federation of Costa Rica (FEFACR), is an annual football game that takes place in San Jose, Costa Rica between the United States North Eastern Semi-Pro All Star Team and the Costa Rica National Team.

During this weekend AWB hosts a number of youth events including [American] football clinics and health and wellness seminars.  The youth events are culminated with the Junior Tropic Bowl, an 18 and under exhibition game played prior to the Tropic Bowl.

AWB - Youth Golf Initiative

The Youth Golf Initiative exists as a way to bring an affordable junior golf program to communities that do not have them, especially in economically disadvantaged areas. Through this initiative we are blending the rules of the game with life and leadership skills, so our kids don’t just learn how to putt – they are learning values that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.

AWB - Young Fencers

Young Fencers

The Young Fencers Program (YFP) is meant to challenge each of its participants with beginner, intermediate and advanced fencing instruction. Each session begins with a rigorous group warm up before students break out into groups based on age, skill level and their preferred weapon—epee, foil or sabre. Beginners are taught fundamental fencing technique, footwork and swordplay, while experienced students hone skills in line with approaching the sport at a competitive level.

AWB - Winter Snow Sports Initiative
